 If you're like me and no doubt, thousands of adults around the world, shopping is the bane of your existence. For many of my clients there is an added layer of agony that comes with grocery shopping and that is "what should and shouldn't I buy?". Whilst I do not subscribe to the notion of excluding foods or buying tonnes of so called superfoods, there are some really simple tips that I'd love to impart, that will ease your grocery shopping agony.

How many times a day do you hear "mum I'm hungry!", every day? Yep, its school holidays! They are full of fun, full of chaos, and full of "mum, I',m hungry!". Honestly, if I received just $1 for every time someone asked me for food every day during the school holidays, I could just retire early.

This is my first blog post for 2017 because its been a bit of a "tools down" affair here at Chez Pollak over the summer. Last year was a massive year after submitting my Masters thesis looking at diet and postnatal depression. And my family were incredibly patient with me while I was overtired, stressed and had very little 'free time'.

Low 1,500 calorie diets are completely unnecessary for weight loss. Yes they work in the short term, but the evidence shows that their long term efficacy is low. Where people tend to get better weight loss results is with small, sustainable habit changes.

Eating out is pleasurable. Aside from the fact that food obviously tastes better when someone else makes it, eating out is social. Though at the same time, eating out can easily blow out your healthy habits.
